A Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is a fully electric car that runs solely on electricity stored in a rechargeable battery pack, requiring plugging into a power outlet to recharge, while a Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) generates electricity on-board through a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen in a fuel cell, refueling with hydrogen gas at dedicated stations instead of charging at a power outlet.
